Tania offers therapy in English and Spanish, drawing on experience in community mental health, recovery services, and domestic violence programs. Her collaborative, trauma-informed approach supports safety, coping skills, and emotional healing while respecting each client’s cultural background.

Areas of focus: Trauma and PTSD; domestic violence recovery; anxiety and depression; substance use and co-occurring concerns; emotional regulation.

Sandra Fonseca LMFT

Sandra offers counseling in English and Spanish for adolescents and adults. With experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, she uses CBT and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients build practical skills, explore goals, and make meaningful changes.

Areas of focus: Anxiety and stress; depression; grief and loss; trauma; behavioral change; personal growth.

Kennedy Sumlar AMFT

Kennedy provides inclusive, culturally responsive care for individuals, couples, and families. Her collaborative approach draws on CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and family systems work to support clients facing stress, trauma, mood concerns, and relationship challenges.

Yes. Redwood provides mental health counseling for adolescents and adults. Some clinicians also have experience working with younger children and families. Please tell our team the client’s age so we can confirm an appropriate clinician and service option.

Can I request a particular clinician?

Yes. Tell us if you would like to work with a particular clinician. We will discuss your needs, insurance, and current availability to help identify an appropriate match.

How do I get started?

Do I need a referral?

Call our team to check what your plan requires. Redwood’s current guidance states that IEHP members do not need a referral from their primary care doctor to start counseling. We can help you understand any referral or authorization steps that apply to your coverage.

Your first appointment is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, background, and goals with your clinician. You can ask questions about counseling, and together you can begin identifying a treatment plan suited to your needs.
