Unique Counseling Program for Adolescents

Growing up can be tough. It is a challenging and complex time. Everything from environment to genetics and upbringing influence how a young person interacts with their world. Which is why we aim to help our clients navigate this period of their life with greater ease and understanding.

Our counseling program for is designed to provide a safe and supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Our counseling sessions focus on building a trusting and collaborative relationship. Through active listening and empathic understanding, we identify root causes and provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment where they can express their emotions and thoughts freely without fear of being criticized or misunderstood.

Below are our tracks for adolescent mental health.

ADHD

Our ADHD option involves a comprehensive assessment of symptoms and behaviors and the development of a tailored treatment plan. This may include behavioral therapy to address symptoms such as impulsivity, hyperactivity, and social communication difficulties, and more.

Anxiety and Stress Management

It is important to address anxiety and stress early on to prevent the development of more serious mental health problems. Effective anxiety and stress management can improve overall well-being and quality of life, helping teens fully engage in their daily activities, interact with others, and reach their full potential.

Depression and Mood Disorders

Depression is a common mental health issue for teens and young people. Mental health counseling for depression and mood disorders can include strategies for managing negative thoughts and feelings, improving self-esteem, and developing healthy coping mechanisms.

Separation or Divorce

Counseling can help kids, whose parents are separated or divorced, express their feelings and cope with stress, anger, sadness, and confusion. It can also help them avoid feeling caught in the middle, adjust to new routines, and help strengthen the child/parent bond.

Substance Abuse

Substance use and addiction can have serious consequences for teens and young people. Mental health counseling for substance use can include education about the risks and consequences of substance use, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and addressing underlying mental health concerns.

Trauma and PTSD

Teens and young people who have experienced trauma, such as physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, may benefit from focused on resilience, healing and personal growth. Counseling for trauma includes strategies for managing symptoms of PTSD, such as flashbacks and nightmares, and developing healthy coping mechanisms.

LGBTQ+ Mental Health

Many teens and young people who identify as LGBTQ+ may experience unique mental health concerns related to their identity. Mental health options for LGBTQ+ individuals can include strategies for coping with discrimination and developing a positive sense of identity.
