Andrea U. Sobampo, LMFT

Hi, I’m Andrea Sobampo, a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) offering therapy in both English and Spanish. I have experience supporting children, individuals, couples, and families as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. My background in community mental health has shaped my commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care that recognizes each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs.

Approach: My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions, incorporating mindfulness practices and a whole-person perspective to support each client’s individual goals. I believe in working collaboratively with clients to build on their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience. I also utilize EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, an evidence-based approach particularly effective for processing trauma and reducing distress.
