Stephanie McPherrin – LPCC
Hi, I’m Stephanie McPherrin, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with 16 years of clinical experience working with adults, children, families, couples and individuals with various cultural backgrounds, world views and religions.
Approach: My approach to therapy is collaborative – I view the counselor and client as a team working together to achieve the clients’ goals. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but adapt my methods to suit each client’s unique needs. I am also certified in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), an evidence-based approach particularly effective for processing trauma and reducing distress. My counseling style is characterized by honesty, approachability, and nonjudgmental compassion, which helps clients feel safe and supported as they work through life’s challenges.
