Joseph Olvera – LMFT, PsyD
Hi, I’m Joseph Olvera, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) with over a decade of experience in mental health, much of which I spent working with at-risk youth. I specialize in helping adolescents, adults and families heal from trauma while addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relational issues.
Approach: I use a combination of Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower clients to uncover their strengths and acquire the necessary skills to make meaningful changes in their lives. I also incorporate Mindfulness techniques to help my clients build awareness and insight to navigate their experiences with compassion and clarity. I aim to help clients uncover the underlying judgments they place on themselves and shift their own perspective to see the world and themselves in a brighter light.
