Juana Soto Rodriguez

LMFT

Hi, I’m Juana Soto, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology. With extensive experience in mental health treatment, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I specialize in providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to individuals and families, fostering a safe and supportive space for healing.

Approach to Practice

I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy that integrates various evidence-based techniques to meet each person’s unique needs. My work draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), attachment theory, feminist theory, and psychodynamic therapy. I aim to create a collaborative and empowering environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported in their journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Areas of Interest

I have a strong background in working with a wide range of psychological concerns, including:

  • Eating disorders and body image issues
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Family and relationship dynamics
  • Cultural identity and life transitions
  • Dual diagnosis and substance use disorders

What to Expect in Your First Appointment

During our first session, my goal is to understand your concerns, background, and therapy goals. We’ll discuss your experiences, identify areas you’d like to work on, and develop a tailored treatment plan. I strive to ensure that our sessions provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing and exploring your thoughts and emotions.
